Illustrative Stock: Furnishings and White Goods
You will find a few illustrations of the type of stock available from the SFE below. Unfortunately the SFE is, as yet, unable to offer the full range currently available online. The SFE hopes to be able to do that as an enhancement of its service to Referral Agencies as soon as time and finance permits.
The SFE always has a high demand for its stock so donations are always welcomed. At present we would particularly welcome:
- Bedroom furniture
- Dining sets
- Beds and mattresses of all types
- Desks
- Electrical items, particularly fridges, freezers, cookers and washing machines in good condition. Items of this nature placed by the SFE may be subject to safety and functionality tests by a reputable and independent electrical contractor.
Additionally the SFE would appreciate donations of kitchen utilities and clean serviceable bed linen to support its emergency service to particular partner agencies who meet the needs of those requiring emergency housing.
Unfortunately the SFE is unable to rehome everything that individuals may wish to donate. This is due to such factors as warehouse space, scale of furniture (those that approach the SFE are often living in constrained accommodation) compliance with current safety regulations or other reason. The SFE staff will advise you on issues of this nature when you call the office to agree times for collection etc.
