News: The internal layout of the new warehouse is taking shape

All stock has now been transferred to the new warehouse and staff and volunteers are enjoying the benefit of extra space and the opportunity to:
  • Organise the storage area in such a way that enables quicker and easier unloading as stock comes in and loading as stock goes out
  • Establish photographic sets which enables clients get a better impression of the furniture they select
  • Reserve space to assist other charities in need of transport and storage space

Event: Market Square 7th May

The SFE continues to be heartened by all the interest the organisation's displays create and that on Friday 7th May was no exception. Although the organisation has been functioning in Stafford for 14 years the market square exhibits bring both the services and opportunity to recycle otherwise unwanted furniture to the attention of previously unaware people. The lack of visible retail premises remains a challenge for the organisation to overcome. Yes the SFE are hoping to overcome this challenge and hopefully we will have positive news on this front soon.

Events: Village Collection Day: Hixon 15th May

SFE’s presence along side Biffa at the Hixon village collection day led to 6 people donating items to SFE that would otherwise gone to land fill. Much thanks for this must go to those who spread the word relating to the SFE’s attendance. With fuel use and making best use of time in mind these collection days should make good economic and environmental sense so the quicker we can get in the swing of using the opportunities presented by these village collection days the better.
