News: Guildhall Shop
If you have not had a browse of the SFE furniture display in the Guildhall to see if the organisation has what you are looking for please drop in and have a chat with Gemma and the volunteers who are assisting her there. They will have access to information on the current warehouse stock.
Referrals are still received at the Sash Street office and if you wish to make an appointment please ring the office and they will find a suitable slot for you.
Activity Day 2nd September
With fine weather, bouncy castle and lots of other activities in the Market Square for young and mature alike the 2nd of September proved an enjoyable if hectic day for SFE staff and volunteers alike.
Gareth completed his exercise marathon without injury and not too much pain if his photo in the Express and Star is anything to go by. As the test did not break him volunteers are already bouncing ideas as to how the challenge mught be enhanced next year.
Rachel’s electrical test of concentration, Gemma and Malinda’s Tombola, guess the bears name and cards all caught the eye of passing traffic. Nick with the support of Jane from Barclays Bank did a sterling job with the silent auction with most lots exceeding their reserve. The outcome was therefore a much needed shot in the arm for SFE finances.
The SFE would therefore like to extend their thanks to all who participated and in particular the businesses and individuals who so kindly sponsored items and activity:
- Barclays Bank
- Staffordshire Gliding Club
- Happy Days Coaches
- The Greyhound at Yarlet
- Alton Towers
- Ashianas
- Peccadills and
- Jeremy Lefroy MP
